Welcome to the installer for Opcode's fusion plug-ins.
These demo plug-ins will work with applications that support Adobe Premiere, Digidesign AudioSuite or Steinberg Vst plugin formats, including:
* Opcode's Vision
* Opcode's Studio Vision
* Steinberg’s Cubase Vst
* Emagic’s Logic Audio
* Macromedia's Deck II
* Digidesign Pro Tools
* Bias' Peak
* Mark of the Unicorn's Digital Performer 2.1
* Cakewalk’s Metro
plus many others.
Each of these applications requires a slightly different installation,
which the fusion installer will manage for you.
You’ll find these demo plug-ins on the CD:
Abode Premiere format:- Vocode, Vinyl & Filter.
Vst format:- Filter, Vinyl.
AudioSuite:- Vocode, Vinyl & Filter.
Easy Install
- Will install the Premiere & Vst compatible plug-ins.
1. Insert your fusion CD
2. Double-click the Installer
3. In the dialog box that appears, select the Easy Install option.
This step will also update earlier versions of fusion plug-ins.
Because Vst compatible applications will all have their own plug-ins
Folder, this installer will create a folder called ‘Vst plugins’ in the
Opcode folder. If you don’t already have an Opcode folder this installer
will create one, and will place it on the top-level of your
startup hard disk. Once the installation is complete, simply drag the
contents of the Vst plugins folder into the Vstplugins folder of the
application you wish to use them with. If you have more than one
application that supports Vst plugins feel free to option+drag
copy the files into the respective plugin folders.
The installer also creates several other files and folders on your
hard drive, some of which may already exist.

If it doesn’t already exist, the installer puts an Opcode Folder
in the Extensions Folder of your System Folder. In this folder, the
installer places an Audio plug-ins folder, in which it creates a
separate folder for each fusion plugin. A plugin library will be
installed in the Opcode Folder at the same level as the Audio plug-ins
folder.

Custom Installations
-Installing fusion plug-ins for non-Opcode Premiere-based Applications
If you wish to use fusion plug-ins with a Premiere compatible application
other than Vision or Studio Vision, you'll need to install them in the host
application's plug-in folder. To do so:
1. First, perform an Easy Install as discussed previously.
2. After completing the Easy Install, choose the Custom Install option.
At this point you will see multiple selections. To install for a non
Opcode application, check the appropriate checkbox and click on install.
The installer will install Adobe Acrobat manuals in the Opcode
folder at the top level on your startup drive as mentioned above.
It will then display a standard Macintosh file dialog. At his point,
you must select the plugin folder for the application you are installing
for. When you have done this, the installer will install a copy of
the fusion plug-ins you are installing in the chosen application's plugin
folder.
You must repeat this process for each application. The fusion plug-ins
will then be accessible in the application through its normal plugin
processing. Note, that fusion plug-ins rely on the correct folders having been
installed by Easy Install. It will not work if Easy Install has not been run.
-Installing fusion plug-ins for AudioSuite-based Applications
If you wish to use fusion plug-ins with an AudioSuite based application,
you'll need to install the AudioSuite versions in the plug-ins folder in
the DAE Folder in the System Folder.

There are two ways to do this:
Method #1: If you select Custom install, you will see that there are two
installers for AudioSuite applications. One relies on performing an Easy
Install as discussed previously, and then installs AudioSuite plug-ins
separately. To use this installer, complete the Easy Install, and then
choose the Install AudioSuite installer on the fusion CD.
Method #2: There is a separate installer that will install both the
Premiere and AudioSuite versions at the same time. If you chose this
option, there is no need to run Easy Install.
If QuickTime 2.5 is not installed on your system, you must install it to
use the Adobe Acrobat on-line manual. To do so, select Custom Install and
then select the QuickTime 2.5 and Sound Manager installation.
Have fun!
